Although not being tan to darker the colour by time it was not so easy to find the right leather.. Here are my two favourite black 'vintage' straps.. 1. MP rubberised calf waterproof strap. With the water and the wear has now a wrikled very nice texture. Plus this strap has the MOST intense leather smell of all the straps I have. 2. MP1 with vintage leaher from the 50's. My favourite blacks right now are my Europelly shell cord and my black baseball straps... BTW, I probably wouldn't call it patina per se...
