mecko
Hi friends, i am looking for a Rolex GMT Master II c with diamonds and sayphir bezel. I know many TD´s have this watch. I have a some good Eta movements (ETA 2893-2 and 2836) at home. My question is: Most models of this watch have a ETA-2836 in. Is it possible, that the TD can change the movement into a cheaper? Maybe a 2813? Cause i wanna put the 2893-3 movent in, because of the correct handstack. And maybe the price of the watch gets cheaper I dont want to disgrace me, if i ask the TDS this is the reason why i am asking here first, it´s okay if i am disgrace here . Hope you guys can help me with some informations bye Edited June 26, 2015 by mecko
gingerr6
Many people have tried and failed to replace the 2813 with a better movement. Nothing fits. Unless you want to do a lot of work. If you want a high beat movement you will have to order one. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
JoeyB
In most cartel watches the DG2813 can be replaced by an ETA 2836-2 or ETA 2846. A few members have been able to make the ETA 2893-2 fit, but it is some work. The ETA uses different sized hands than the DG. The DG GMT hand is the same pinion size as the converted ETA2836/2846. The ETA 2893-2 is not the same size GMT hand. That movement takes the genuine Rolex sized GMT hand. Hand sizes: DG3804B (DG2813 GMT)1.00/1.50/.17/2.00 ETA 2836-2 (Chinese conversion) .90/1.50/.25/2.00 ETA 2893-2 .90/1.50/.25/1.8 None are the correct hand stack. All the movements mentioned here. The DG, and all the ETA movements are incorrect hand stack for the Rolex GMT since 1981, with the 16750, and newer.
