To this day (5 years later) I only her about what shinny things she wants for Christmas. If I had all the money I spent On her jewelry I wouldn't be on this board LOL. When buying your ring be CAREFUL mall jewelry stores typically make up engagement rings by 10 times. that is to say that 7500 ring is only worth maybe 800 to 1000 on EBAY any maybe as much as 1500 to a jeweler.
