No. Neither did the 1675. The GMT hand was fixed, and synched with the hour and minutes hands to simply tell the same time but in the 24 hour format. The GMT Master allowed you to tell a 2nd timezone by rotating the bezel.

Thanks!  That's what I thought. This 1655 had a strange objective.  It was made for those who worked underground, in caves, mines, etc. for long periods of time.  It was so designed that one could, simply know if it was night or day outside.

I have one with a DG3804B movement and found that you can, very easily, slip a razor blade under one of the little setting gears and pop it off, disabling he GMT hand setting feature.

Awesome! Yes, that's a great mod to do. A member named Sneed posted a cool pictorial on how to do it with an ETA, also. He also showed how to take the GMT bits off a clone 2836-2 and transplant them onto a low beat 2846, turning it into a low beat GMT movement. All cool stuff!!
