dood
Seller is trying to pass this off as a genuine Sellita SW240. But it looks like an asian 2836 clone to me. Am I wrong?
EbolaVirus
It does say eta on it. Having said that it "looks" like a gen eta to me. Rotor text is clean and tight and spaced from the edge. Rotor screw and bearing looks rightIt would be good to get a clearer picture of the era logo and 2836-2 text. Also would be good to see the hold and silver gears which are under the left of the rotor. You should also wait for a few more opinions to be sure! Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net. dood
Thanks! I noticed that the engravings look sharp and good quality and color of gold looks correct. My confusion is because when I first ordered the watch I was told that ETA movements are no longer available and they could only get Sellita SW240 if I wanted a Swiss movement. Seller just emailed me saying that it's a gen ETA and it's a dealer with a very good reputation so I'll probably take their word for it.
SSTEEL
FYI Sellita are stamped SW2XX, and their rotors usually indicate 26 Jewels. That's clearly as ETA 2836-2 as I told you on RG
