The coronet on the dial looks wrong. The genuine is small and in the same position on that Roman numeral dial, but it is much crisper and distinct.

Go to google, Google "Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date", scroll down to images, open the images and there are lots of photos of gen Dates.

Only thing that would lead me to believe these may be gen is that there are tons of old Date and DJ cases and dials floating around. Lots of these older watches have been cannabalize do for their movements. Rolex has sold millions of these over time as this is and entry level Rolex, and has probably been their best seller for decades. A good rep dial would be almost as expensive as and old gen.

Hope this helps

Looks wrong to me.
Shady sellers post pictures that hide details, honest sellers post pictures that highlight details. Bad pics are usually an indicator of dishonesty. Bad pics of a Rolex is nearly always a guarantee of dishonesty.
As always, buy the seller (look for established Rolex sellers with 100% satisfaction rating with at least 100 previous Rolex-related sales) before you buy the Rolex.

AVOID - None of it is gen mate. Although the case itself is the least obvious, the serials sit too high.

Please report and save someone the anguish if this is being purported as genuine.

Cheers.
