Revere
Man that looks nice. The case looks really great. I like the "transitional" dial!
rolojack
Man that looks nice. The case looks really great. I like the "transitional" dial! Why not, right? There are so many oddities with vintage rollies.... Every 2 years we find out an other variant of some model that if we've seen it before we'd tag it as fake !!!! Revere
Yeah I agree. I happened to run into a pretty distinguished but very private collector a year ago or so, and he owned a white dial explorer. He didn't have it on him sadly, but he explained to me that he acquired it privately back when everyone was convinced that the white dials were outright unoriginal. So, apparently, he got a real good deal on it. I can only imagine what that's worth now, since they come up at auction so rarely. Wish I could ask him more about it but he declined giving his name or any contact info. Oh well! Edited December 31, 2015 by Revere

Verzonden vanaf mijn iPad met TapatalkIndeed, see the 2 posts I did showing transformed 1600s cases for explorer builds. Looks sharp, but in my opinion the back differs toom much from a gen 1016....https://rwg.cc/topic/179721-1600-to-1016-the-full-mod#comment-1430843https://rwg.cc/topic/181760-rolex-1016-explorer-the-rolo-modified-16000-case#comment-1448285 Edited January 1, 2016 by rolojack
