r11co
This is me hoping against hope! My 'ultimate' PO from River is a stunner of a watch, but as I reported elsewhere the pearl looks like it took a pasting when being inserted into the bezel insert. It is sloping up out the insert from right to left and the little glass cover over the lume is cracked. I've tried to push it flush but it won't budge, plus it looks too damaged anyway. Its a minor niggle, and I'm really just being impatient here, but does anyone have a replacement insert or pearl or can point me to one. Anyone replaced their orange for a black or vice versa? 45mm chrono insert would be fine too! This is a bit of a pisser as it is supposed to be one of the strongest aspects of these watches! Usual routes already tried - River says his supplier won't pass him spares any more. Josh the same. Andrew/Trusty has been very helpful but says not stocks of 45mm bezels - only 42's at the moment. Ebay ones are cack. I've even looked for gens.

cornerstone
Obviously let me know if you're still stuck, but it's not the "ultimate" one

HauteHippie
Good to know for people considering an ultimate po.... Get a bad bezel and good luck!!
spotsbimmer
My 45mm PO pearl is almost exactly like yours. My bezel fell off so I got to see what's back there, the Pearl is epoxied in place and has a shoulder on it, so it won't fall out as long as the bezel stays put. Andrew was kind enough to send me a replacement bezel. Thumbs up to Andrew! Back to the pearl I am planning to pop the glass off by heating it a bit with a pencil torch, clean off the glue and remove weak lume. Then apply new lume and then cover the pearl with the acrylic they sell for repairing windshields. This should allow the transparent widow to be flush with the stainless pearl bezel. Any suggestions from the gurus regarding this course of action?

Yes, my advice is to leave well alone as the 'ultimate' pearl itself is very good as is - torch + glue + relume + acrylic = recipe for disaster
