Yuki 3135 rotor sound and date jumper issue with gen dw

Hi Bro.

I recently built 16610 with Yuki 3135 and rest of gen parts on TC V6 case.

I satisfied with most of the quality but got 2 issues as followings.

- weak(not enough) tention of date jumper and it causes date changing 2days at the same time

(Saw same kinds of post from other forum but don't know it fixed successfuly and how)

- I expected no rotor sound from Yuki 3135 but it has like eta series.

Please advise me that if this can be fixed by replacing date jumper and rotor parts.

Roughly it costs around 500usd for parts only...start to questining if this really worth... :-D

Appreciate you advise in advance.

Hi Mech,

Thanks for the reply. Are you saying for both of rotor and date jumper?

As this is first piece of yuki for me, no chance to compare with others for its rotor sound.

How do you find its difference with other 3135 (SA, LF and also including gen)?

Thanks.

Are you sure the date wheel is installed correctly? I'm just saying when you install a gen on a yuki, it's hard to get it exactly in place. Is the rotor maybe touching your caseback? Have you tried loosening the caseback a little to see if the sound goes away?

Thanks for the advise. Let me try.

Rotor doesn't make any noise as is not ball bearing design

If it does, then is three possibilities

1. Movement casing screw touching rotor

2. Case back clearance

3. Reversing wheels went bad

As far as the date jumping two dates, the date jumper has to be adjusted or replaced with gen

Hi Mike,

I saw your previous 16610+Y3135 build.

In TC's blog, he explained that TC case can take gen 3135 without any modification and you also haven't mentioned about it.

In my case, I realize screw length is not enough to fix move in the case when I unsrew 2Xmovement holding screw,

So I had to apply some modification on it.

If TC's right, I'm afraid I made a mistake or something when I install movememt in the case.

Can yoi advise me how did you fix movement in the TC case and what kind of screw you used?

Your advise will be much helpful.

Thanks.

I has same problem, i had just changed part 625 and 623, you can get them in aftermarket (some $100 both) and problem resolved :)

Good luck
