GWP123
I'm considering Trusty's vintage Milgauss ref 1019. I've been researching by looking online at Gens. Its no easy task, however. For one, it seems like there are multiple dials. Same silver dial and colors but different font widths and sizes. In addition, Trusty's Quality shots seem to have different font sizes than the website posting. You all have more experience and a more trained eye. What are your thoughts on this rep vs the gen? http://imgur.com/a/76e9a http://www.ttw8488.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_103&products_id=
camaya
Here is one from MarvellousRreplica http://v.yupoo.com/photos/mrwatch/albums/26723815/?style=story The hour hand is wrong, the bracelet is wrong (not riveted and clasp) and the case is wrong (non drilled lug holes). Dial is fairly accurate. Here is a gen from Chrono24 http://www.chrono24.com/en/rolex/ss-op-very-rare-silver-baton-dial-vintage-milgauss-1019--id4218156.htm The bracelet is correct for this year (1970) as they did come with all of Rolex variants. FWIW, Trusty's example is pretty close to a 27K dollar watch. The font differences and such are not going to be noticed from more than a foot away anyway. Also the dial will vary over the span of the years in production. Gen dials, last time I checked were in the 4K-5K range if you could find one available. I say go for it and enjoy. It's a great watch.
