He showed me his Tourneau biz card and offered me $1700 cash for it to which I declined. He definitely knew it was a rep. Setting me up? Moron? Not an above board retailer? The AD employer thing made me nervous.

They hire unqualified staff and don't pay them well, hence turnover is high. Staff is mostly not well educated. Bes guess is the offer was not binding until the "watchmaker" looked at it. Sales guy was looking for a commission,thats all

Just his own money and he was showing off that he was a manager there and knew his stuff which he obviously didn't. Definitely wasn't drunk.
