Gen Valjoux 7750 >>>> Modify To A Gmt Movt

dear ziggy,

would it be possible the gen valjoux 7750 to modify for a gmt function ????

thanks for your knowledge.

cheers

rolli

The ETA 7754 is a GMT model...so you could probably get the 7754 parts, and install them onto a basic 7750 and turn it into a GMT model.

It would probably be very expensive and difficult to do as who knows if 7754 parts are available.

Easier to buy a 7754 if it's available.

dear ziggy,

thanks for your reply.

the aim is, the new pam gmt models ( like pam252 northpole ) have the cheap asia movt,

and i like to swap the movement.

my watchsmith could swap the movement in the pam24. that was easy. and this watch is now superb.

i would have this same result with the gmt function in the pam252 northpole gmt.

you say 7754. has this movt the same measures like the 7750 ???

thanks again

I was wondering the same thing in the context of whether it might be possible to buy the Northpole or 88 and retain the Asian parts and put them on a Swiss 7750 as that is readily available. Then you have a new "original movement" PAM. I suspect the only way to find out is to try it. :thumbsupsmileyanim: Thst is one I am willing to give a try as I can always use the 7750 straight on in a sub or other old movement 7750. I think the first issue is whether the movement in the Northpole takes the same size hands as the gen 7750.

77XX all are the same size. 7753, 7754 even 7760 - although this one has a missing rotor as it is handwound.

yes, thanks for help guys.

many pams got a new gen 7750 or unitas.

but to swap a gmt movt, thats new for me.

i will try to order this 7754.

i hope i have luck.

Great price, my supplier for Swiss ETA 7754, $800++++

I hope you post the work after your done.

RG

dear ziggy,

yes, of course.

i've ordered two movements.

one for the pam252 and the other for the pam89 anthracite dial, here i will change the polish case to a titanium case.

my distributor said, this movement is very new in the serie product line of eta.

before was this only for a special order and only for watch factories.

the request is extreme high.

thats why the delivery time is longer.

with a gen gmt movement is a gmt rep more interesting.

again, thanks for your information, ziggy.

cheers
