I resently got a LV Sub from Andrew. It had a Bad bezel insert, so Andrew sent me a new bezel insert. I read all th post on how to dissasemble and how to replace a bezel. I tried the razor blade, and all it did waqs break the blade. :black_eye: What else can I do???

The latest versions are almost impossible to get off...and even when you do (using a case knife) they bend...

THe solution I have used, is to remove the insert from the back, meaning take the caseback off, then remove the movement, then the crystal, and then, you can remove the bezel insert...

Wish I would have waited until I saw your reply. :wounded1: Now my hands are all busted up, and so is my new watch. :black_eye:

I had a hell of a time removing the bezel from a "perfect Paul" sub that neeeded its bezel re-aligned. I like The Zigmeisters solution. Why the new click mechanism? It seems that our friends in China are trying to re-invent the wheel...

Why oh why oh why can't they just mimic the same design Rolex uses to secure their bezels to the case? Snap in bezels and all :g:

Sorry to hear about your watch. Can you tell us what you damaged?

Also, I believe you can buy a tool specifically for removing a bezel. I know it won't do you any good now, but if you think you might do more of this kind of work in the future, it might be something to think about getting.

I like his solution as well if you have the know how and tools to do this. I'm not bad with my hands, but this was a nightmare.
