darkside7 Posted January 13, 2007 Report Share Posted January 13, 2007 I resently got a LV Sub from Andrew. It had a Bad bezel insert, so Andrew sent me a new bezel insert. I read all th post on how to dissasemble and how to replace a bezel. I tried the razor blade, and all it did waqs break the blade. What else can I do??? RWG Technical Posted January 13, 2007 Report Share Posted January 13, 2007 The latest versions are almost impossible to get off...and even when you do (using a case knife) they bend... THe solution I have used, is to remove the insert from the back, meaning take the caseback off, then remove the movement, then the crystal, and then, you can remove the bezel insert... I like The Zigmeisters solution. Why the new click mechanism? It seems that our friends in China are trying to re-invent the wheel... Also, I believe you can buy a tool specifically for removing a bezel. I know it won't do you any good now, but if you think you might do more of this kind of work in the future, it might be something to think about getting. Snap in bezels and all I like his solution as well if you have the know how and tools to do this. I'm not bad with my hands, but this was a nightmare.
