Nicholas1234
Hello, This is my first post. I am looking for a good quality, both in likeness and somewhat performance, Omega Speedmaster. Eventually I would like to obtain the genuine article but in the meantime I am interested in purchasing a reasonably priced replica in the vein of a CK2998, 105.002, 105.003, 105.012, 145.012, 145.022. I would be most grateful for any information that would help me in my purchase. Thank you, Barnaby
Sogeha
Hello and welcome. I'm afraid that you are unlikely to find a satisfactory Speedmaster replica. There isn't really a suitable movement and they tend to have issues with sub-dial spacing
Nicholas1234
Thank you for the warm welcome and advice. I may reconsider as the details really do make the Speedmaster a thing of beauty.
Sogeha
I just realised I poured water on your fire on two threads, sorry? Here's is a possible way forward. Some time ago I discovered Omega had used a calibre based on the Valjoux 7750 in some Speedmaster models. It has sub dials at 6,9 & 12. This is easy to replicate because there is a Chinese clone 7750. I started to look into it around Christmas and discovered that it had been replicated. I was going to track one down and buy one, but with work and family, it's still on my to do list. It would take a little detective work, but might be a lead for you
Nicholas1234
Thank you Sogeha for your kind thoughts. Please let me know your opinion on this replica. https://www.intime01.co/omega/2980-speedmaster-moonwatch-ss-black-dial-on-ss-bracelet-manual-winding-chrono-movement.html
