Just recently acquired a Noob V4 FC Diver and noticed the rotor was quite noisy. After a few times wearing it the rotor sound like it was loose so I removed the case back and discover there wasn't a screw or anything securing it. I was able to easily lift it off the movement. Any ideas on what happened and how I can fix this would be appreciated. I can see small teeth on the rotor and movement center. Is this the only thing securing rotor to movement? Also is there a way to quiet the rotor? Thanks!

What movement is this?319feeb707e746c8a16b983ca32db1a7.jpg&key=537b23e77c341c64bf78a41405cd9ee11caeaecb32f44335e2f9702692ad592cf82af2d8d541199fb23a66d553648d7e.jpg&key=c2403aeca3bd55604f3ca700bdaf5c53a57fabb4565bea7df4c4b70d5bd3649d651670b7c13b5adf836f25a05e18bbff.jpg&key=c13f339fc86f1cb67c84fe0f265884c753a09593ad1ed13b0477e2aa98b81aadNoob V4?

Well, i guess this is a deco plate in the middle and the real screw is just hidden...So just remove this small plate with the both small fake screws, unscrew the real one, then try to find a simple eta 2824 2836 rotor !

Maybe i am wrong, but if it is right, the deco plate is just glued !

Is there anyway to re glue or use the deco plate? Will the 2824 plate with bearing be quieter than deco?

If you want quite rotor, just go for a eta bearing and rotor. You will see different if you install. I change all my 2824/2836 rotor rather than deco plate

Correct! But you may need to get a middle screw either

How difficult is it to install? I'm not very good as a watchsmith. Does the two screws hold the deco plate that covers the screw hole for adding the swiss eta rotor?

Is very easy, just unscrew your deco one, and just simple place , and screw tight the middle screw. And start using it!

Awesome! Thanks my friend! I'll order now and try it out. I really like the decorated rotor and wish there was a way to use it even though I won't see it. Guess it's just my OCD!:fool: Anyone need a decorated AP rotor?;)

That's it !

Just put a small amount of grease in the middle, the bearing must be dry as they are old eta rotor...even WD40 is fine !

Don't forget the screw to install it, like this http://www.ebay.fr/itm/ETA-2824-2826-2834-2836-screw-rotor-vis-masse-Schraube-fur-Schwungmasse-/252666308583?hash=item3ad415e7e7:g:x6IAAOSwHMJYG2Tm

Don't use grease, use Swiss Oil, D5 will do the trick.  Grease will not allow the oscillating weight to rotate freely.

I don't have D5 Swiss oil. How's rock n roll bike chain lube? I use it on all my rep bracelets.

Watch movements are far more delicate than bracelets.  Best to look on eBay, and you should find some D5 on there.

Mission completed! New Swiss eta rotor installed and D5 oiled. However another issue! AP experts please chime in! Took apart my AP FC to repair noisy rotor. Not thinking it was a huge deal I mixed up all the case back screws. Now I'm having trouble with at least one screw not screwing down. Are the screws different sizes? How do I fix this? a71424481d54553f5a7c5459fb40cc7d.jpg
