Watchmeister Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 That is exactly my concern. Will the strap be available with ti buckle?
thomasng Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 That is exactly my concern. Will the strap be available with ti buckle? I wouldn't hold my breath for it. But the genuine IWC buckles so come in SS as well anyways. But if you're really that anal, you can order the genuine Ti buckle from an IWC AD (I inquired before), and they cost about $70 US.
thomasng Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 I will probably be the first to get it, as it's already on its journey to Canada. I'll let everyone know about the link situation. The link does look to be Ti in King's pictures, or at least they didn't make it as obivous as the GST. Besides, if the link really bothers you, just get the nylon strap and your problems are flushed away. YAY! This was my 1000th post.
uziuzi Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Is there any news about the project on the correct datewheel ?? i know there is another thread for it but i thought i could ask it here cause seems all the Ingy fans are together... And is it in general difficult to change a datewheel or are you guys doing that yourself ? I guess a local watchmaker will manage, right ? Thanks a lot.
Chronus Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 An eBay listing with decent pictures of the chrono: IWC AMG Ingeniuer Chrono on eBay
Pugwash Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Before you get too annoyed with the last link not being the same colour, these are gen: You're not going to get called on it.
Pugwash Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 and look at the clasp on this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IWC-GST-Chronograph-...VQQcmdZViewItem Or this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IWC-GST-RATTRAPANTE-...VQQcmdZViewItem
watchlover321 Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I ordered a gen Ti Clasp for my GST, and the color is the same as that of the rep.. the only diff is that: 1. the "SWISS MADE" on the folding clasp is very well etched 2. the clicking mechanism is superb 3. it's pricey :)
lovepanerai Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 wow - I didn't now that the gens have that too - thanks for pointing it out Pugwash
mike1975 Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Hello all, my iwc ing ti chrono from king arrived today. all i can say "wow" . ti clasp (end link), some ar coating (in my mind), not as smooth finish as my iwc gen gst, but i did not expect this at all. for all the people who like to have it. go for it.would say 99,99999999% perfect rep. i try to post some pics at the weekend. mike
Watchmeister Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Can't wait for the pics. I am eager to buy the chrono but scared to death about the movement. Perhaps a dealer who notices this loop and sells it will comment whether it is the identical movement as the Portuguese. Or perhaps not.

Guest RiverwindMDS Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Here are 3 pics. I try to do better ones (bach etc.) on sunday. Enjoy ! Nice watch.
uziuzi Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Nice watch. Go for it ! I would, but I dont really fancy the titanium, i need the heavy steel so i still hope for the "ultimate" Ingy...
Watchmeister Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Mike- Looks great. Have you tried the chrono yet?
mike1975 Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 @ kruzer00 : thanks. no i didn´t tried it yet. maybe i will never do. think it will be better for the movement not to use them.
Watchmeister Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 No guts no glory, just kidding. I understand. That is why I am holding off for a while - the mystery of the movement.
Chronus Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 The strain will be on the movement with running seconds at 6 regardless of if the chrono is running. We'll see how long it lasts. I'm keeping well away from modified Asian movements with running seconds at 6. Good luck with this watch! Anyone got the non-chrono version yet?
Guest RiverwindMDS Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Go for it ! I would, but I dont really fancy the titanium, i need the heavy steel so i still hope for the "ultimate" Ingy... I love the titanium, but I'm thinking because I have too many projects in mind...
mike1975 Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 So here are some new pics. I´m not into photography, so be patient. Last to tell, I really love the watch: simple, great manufactered, smooth working movement and really less flaws.
Chronus Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Great watch I wonder if Admin got his yet?
Dario33 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Damn, this is a nice watch. Has anyone reported problems of the movement on the chrono? I know several are holding off on buying this one due to potential issues.
