tails Posted January 15, 2007 Report Share Posted January 15, 2007 (edited) Wonder if any one can help been trying to connect to RWI for nearly 2 weeks now. Its been fine since i found out about the site begining of Nov went down for a few days during Xmas but was back up until a few weeks ago. The thing is i Know its up and running i've tried from my works computer and can connect to it with out problem, ive even installed a new version of windows on my second drive to see if windows was a problem but no luck. I read somewhere that some UK users are or were having problems connecting but couldn't find out any more info. Im freaking stumped here so any help would be great. Im based in the UK and my server is Telewest if that helps. Lee... Came back with : The connection has timed out * The server at replica-watch.info is taking too long to respond. * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Pugwash Posted January 15, 2007 Report Share Posted January 15, 2007 You need to use a proxy. RWI's hosts just blanket-block certain European ISPs and claim they don't. It looks like a routing issue (I even tracked down the router of theirs with a problem, but they denied it outright) on one of their routers/subnets.
