Guest RiverwindMDS Posted January 19, 2007 Report Share Posted January 19, 2007 Not correct - Rolex intentionally lowered the bph to 28.8K in order to get a longer lasting movement... so 36K isn't necessarily an avantage - except from reading the Chrono more exact... I'm really sorry to caorrect a master like you Oliver, but that's not the reason. The reason is that the 36K el primero movement required a special lubrification different from the ones at 28800... And rolex wanted to use also for service the same kind of oils. The el primero is a long lasting movement even in the 36k version, it only requires a special attention and a special lube when it is serviced Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
