I received this Monday and noticed after having it on the wrist for a bit. Can the markers be straightened or should I start trying to source a new dial?

Look at 6 o clock

They cannot. The only thing you can do is remove the marker, cut one foot off, and reinstall with glue. Very touchy process. Decide which foot to cut before you do it.

I have the same watch that has the same issue 😕 I actually no longer wear it because of this issue, it bugs me too much. I'll be sourcing a gen dial to install soon.
