vmena
I have contacted by chance with a guy that sells aftermarket rubber bands for Omega Seamaster & Planet Ocean 20 mm. I haven't seen them in person but he told me they are like genuine but the "Planet Ocean" wording is not engraved, only "Seamaster". The buckle has the Omega logo and he could source black color as well as orange. Price may be around 80 USD for an order of a minimum of 20. He also told me he tried these bands in a genuine Planet Ocean of his property and it fits perfectly. My question to all of you is if you may be interested acquiring one (or several) of these bands and which color. Depending of the interest I would buy one for my self and will make some of you to try it and then we could make a "Rubber Omega band Group Buy" Please post your opinion, no matter which one but if positive, leave clearly indicated number and colors. Probably I could make a deal for a better price. Obviously I have asked him for pictures that I will post as soon as I have them. The deal will be done just in case I prove the band is of the expected quality and fits the watch. EDITED: This offer is not intended as a dealer trade or whatever similar. I'm just trying to provide the community with something may benefit everybody (I've seen many people asking for these bads). I'm not looking for any benefit, but if mods understand this should be treated as a dealer offer then I will remove the group buy post.
Sylar
I may be in for an orange one for when I get my PO with Oragne Bezel.
thelawnmowerman
They are probably the same one as Josh sells , they also do not have Planet Ocean on them , only Seamaster. Maybe I'm hyping our dealers up a bit but I doubt there's any that are getting made outside of China , and that our Dealers dont know about. and Josh only charges $35 delivered for one, My advice.... wait for a better one from our dealers or buy the gen rubber strap. I could agree but I've read that the 20 mm. version does not fit correctly PO or SMP versions. The only thing that attracted my attention was that this band was tested in a genuine PO. I now a genuine Omega PO or SMP rubber band fits any of the reps, so a rep band fitting a genuine Omega should also fit rep. But any of you confirm that our dealer's bands fit a 20 mm PO version then this group buy would have no sense. And 80 USD I understand is a stating point for discussion set by the dealer

Good advice. The gen rubber (mine is the 22mm for my U-PO) is vastly superior to the (20mm) Seamaster rep rubber strap. I say if you can wait, I understand a 22mm rep is in process. If you can't wait, then go with Josh/Andrew or otherwise buy the gen....because you're worth it
vmena
I've just bought a sample and I will post pics as soon as I have it in my hands. But then, I will ask you to act as a tester of the band since I don't have a PO. Better in Eu for a faster test... and even better if in Spain
thelawnmowerman
I have a 42mm 4th gen and bought the 20mm rep strap from Josh and it goes on, but folds down and leaves a gap at the lugs. I bought a gen strap in the end.
