chad Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Anyone know? Is it difficult? Thanks for any help chad
tenacious_b Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 You need a bracelet pin tool, a pair of pliars, and a strong arm. Those little buggers are in there tight. Also, watch that you do it over a tray as there are small metal sleeves in the "midlink" part of the links.
chad Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 really? I mean change the strap not resize? chad You need a bracelet pin tool, a pair of pliars, and a strong arm. Pugwash Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 I use a simple spike. I find regular strap removers are not thin enough to get to the spring bar.
chad Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 Thanks pug but I am not that advanced at this stuff? I have no idea what that means and where I can get one? thanks chad I use a simple spike. I find regular strap removers are not thin enough to get to the spring bar.
Jetsons Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 I use a cheap 0.80 mm screwdriver on the 42.5mm PO, which I assume is nearly identical. Place the blade on the pin shoulder and its an easy job. Most anything else may slip and scratch something or is too large.
Pugwash Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Thanks pug but I am not that advanced at this stuff? I have no idea what that means and where I can get one? Um ... a regular spike. Something long and sharp. A small but strong screwdriver may do, even. I even found a photo of what I use!
chad Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 Oh you mean a simple spike Thanks so do I jab the watch repeatedly with this? How do I do it? and how do I get the rubber strap on after? Um ... a regular spike. Something long and sharp. A small but strong screwdriver may do, even. I even found a photo of what I use!
Pugwash Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 so do I jab the watch repeatedly with this? Well, you can, by all means. However, if I were you, I'd use it to slide the spring bars out of their holes. Googling for "Watch strap removing" has several tutorials.
