First of all I'd like to thank our great Paris located members ryyannon and Pugwash for their help while I was prepairing the trip.

Hope I can be of any help for you guys in near future!

Too bad the schedule of our trip was so busy that we ended up with no Paris GTG - looks like a 3 day trip is definately not enough to see everything and have some spare time left. But we plan to get back there in around 2 or 3 months so I hope we will be able to make it up then!

Now let's get back to the topic.

The story is - a couple of weeks ago together with one of my friends we decided to surprise our girflriends with a trip to Paris.

The Valentine's Day time seemed perfect for such surprise so we booked our flights and a hotel and arrived in Paris late 13th of February.

We stayed at a nice Hotel called Oceania, located in Port de Versailles:

Next day we started our sightseeing with one of the most known places in Paris:

Yup, the famous Moulin Rouge.

It was kind of a surprise to find out that the whole neighbourhood of the Moulin Rouge is so... loaded with sex :)

So the Valentine's Day did not start too romantically :)

We had to do something about that so we went to a nicer place - a Montparnasse:

It was amazing to see how people park their cars there!

A nice street:

A great view:

As you can see the weather was not perfect but it did not stop us!

It was a great moment to eat something and take a first picture of my Big Bang in Paris:

Later that day we arrived at the next well known place, I believe you all recognize it :)

And wonderful Champs Elysses...

... with an AMAZING Louis Vuitton shop:

After the LV shop and many other fantastic shops and boutiques we went to see the Eiffel Tower in all its glory!

And that's how we spent the first day in Paris.

On thursday the weather was great! It was a nice surprise after that rainy wednesday.

Here is my Hublot... in the background you can see the famous Louvre Museum:

It was beautiful!

And the famous Venus:

Next point of the schedule - Notre Dame:

An inside view (no sign of a hunchback anywehere :) )

Then it was time for some window shopping!

How about some APs?

203328-1197.jpg

That OffShore was so sweet! I need one so badly!

There were also some Cartiers:

And some Mille Miglias... Angus hurry up with that GT XL!

We finished that day with a Pompidou:

And Lafayette Gallery but I didn't take any pics there... concentrated on shopping :)

Today (on 16th) we had our flight back to Poland.

We all really enjoyed our stay in Paris and will be more than happy to get back there soon!

Hope you enjoyed the report!

Cheers

Maciek

Warning: that's how I ended up moving here. After the second valentine's day trip, we decided we could live here!

I'm glad you had fun. Paris is a fantastic city. I'll miss it when I leave.

WOW. Haven't been there in 23 years. Looks like I need to go back!!! Funny, the city hasn't changed much.

I remember a drunken night at the Moulin Rouge where there were beautiful horses rearing up on their hind legs right in front of our stage front table. It was one of the most fantastic live entertainment moments I've ever experienced.

@Corgi

Here in Poland we have pretty much all watch brands available as anywhere else.

Of course we don't have such dealerships in every city but in Warsaw - the capital of Poland - we have Breitling, Panerai, Vacheron, Jeager Le Coultre, IWC, TAG, Omega, Zenith, Porsche Design, AP, Patek, almost everything I believe.

Oh and if you want to see some pics of Poland you can find them in some of my previous threads like these for example:

A day with me and my Honpo 187

Cheers!
