dak244 Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 (edited) Is this normal? I just received a 183 from another member and it seems to be acting a little weird. When I pull the crown out, I wind it by turning it counter-clockwise (which I initially thought was weird, because I read it was clockwise). Then, after adjusting the tiime, I push the crown back in and the time can still be adjusted, but the seconds hand is running. So I then have to fully start screwing in the crown before it will disengage from the time adjusting rotor. Is all this weird? Am I not doing it right? Can anyone give me a brief noob tutorial for the 183? Thanks! Edited February 18, 2007 by dak244
bruce79 Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 It sounds like you may have some issues with the stem...but the seconds hand should still be moving while you set the watch...it's a non hacking movement. Post this in The Zigmeister's section.
flavor flav Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 your stem is loose. easy to fix. unscrew the caseback and tighten the small screw nearest the crown. not super tight, just snug.
