Ok, there is a topic about the Mbw Vintage Vs "regular" Vintage.

What I would want to know is what happen in Mbw Modern Vs "regular" Modern.

I am talking more about the Seadweller, but also the Submarine.

It is clear righ now the differences, prons and cons of the MBW vintages. Help the noobs about the moderns.

Thanks

i think at the end both thread will provide lots of info about all the aspect of the 2 mainstream of rolex rep so people can decide which one to get. I guess may be we can ask the mod to link up 2 posts together. :p

With the modern 16600 Sea-Dweller reps, no matter who it's from, seem to all have the same problems-

-Case/caseback/bezel is typically not thick enough or not the right angle/shape

-Wrong He valve; either the wrong shape/size and always the wrong material (genuine is made from Ti)

-Crystal is too large in diameter, and the bezel/insert is also incorrect diameter as a result

-Crystal is not thick enough

Why? Because most 16600's are based on a Submariner case, which is wrong for a SD.

Yeah Randy,

you are so right....

There is no accurate modern SD out there.....too bad...

The older MBW Submariners has great cases, but there are also a lot of flaws...

But they are better constructed,i`´ve heard about better materials 440er steel, thick safir,etc....

They are good for Frankenprojects....
