cornerstone
Probably a dumb question, but oh well.... I'm trying to buy a replacement crown stem for an Asian 21j online (at cousinsuk). I read in one of Ziggy's posts that it's a 0.9mm stem. Does anyone know what Cousins calls the 21j movement? Here's a list of their names for them here Actually (for what it's worth) I'm tempted just to get a whole movement for other parts and use the stem from that. Also, if anyone knows a good place to buy these sorts of parts online in Australia, I'd be grateful
RWG Technical
Can't help with the local supplier... But the majority of Asian automatic movements use standard Miyota stems, not all do, but I would say fully 90% are identical to the Miyota one. Part number would be 401/8215 Miyota (double check the part #, I may have it mixed up). If your thinking of replacement, the Miyota 8215, 95% of the time is a direct fit, hands, stem location, etc... I have lots of stems for Asian PM me your addy, and I can throw some in an envelope for you. RG If you can take a picture, I can match it up... cornerstone
Thanks for the kind offers! Ziggy has not just offered the bit I need, he's offered the right bit (specifically that it's a Miyota copy), and I'm indebted for his help Cheers!
