Wow, that is one expensive box. Actually, I would guess he has a watch coming and no money to pay for it. The tricky part for him is the watch shop holding the one for sale is not incentivized to cooperate as it wants to buy it on the cheap.

I'm not sure of the value of this model but if it's higher than his start bid this could be a good deal for someone who lives local to the seller, it looks dodgy so probably wont get any bids, and he says he doesn't expect anyone to buy it unseen, so make the bid and if you win you don't pay until you can go with him to Watche of Switzerland and pick it up.

i was thinking the same thing. you can find some good deals on ebay if you know what you're doing....
