andreww Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 I've got an Orange 45mm showing up this week, and I didnt want them both on steel bracelets. So, I went over to the Omega site to see what they were selling, and noticed the black rubber with white stitching. Im really liking this look! Here's some quick wrist shots... here's the Gen for comparison...
Fireman_Fred Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 Mmmmmm, not sure about this one... there is a big gap between the case and the strap... think I prefer the rubber strap that isn't trying to pretend it's made of leather. Apologies, this is only MHO - each to their own !
andreww Posted April 1, 2007 Author Report Posted April 1, 2007 Rather ironic isn't it? They're trying to make rubber look like leather and I'm trying to make leather look like rubber!
DWSmoot Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 Not a bad look Andreww...is that your Bob Strap?
docblackrock Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 Nice. Do tell us about the strap - the gen 'leather-look' rubber () is a lot thinner but would be interested to know what base strap this is and how you got the shiney rubber look.
andreww Posted April 1, 2007 Author Report Posted April 1, 2007 DWS is right, its a Bob Breitling strap. The shiny, no-grain look was one of the things that I originally didn't like about this strap, but it gives this watch an outstanding look.

Interesting, I have a spare BOB Breit strap vintage black calf, but doesn't look rubbery as in your pic. Ah well....

Apologies, this is only MHO - each to their own ! I'd have to agree with that comment. Andreww, I can understand why you like the look, as you're clearly a fan of the Breitling 'style', but personally, it's not my cup of tea...
