ahchard
hmm...looking at it again... the writing seems to read something like Lashville... it was advertised as glashutte though....
Watchwatcher
not glashutte, doesn't even look german. i'd guess its american made, circa 1910-1930. probably gold filled or plated. if that is true and the watch is in working order, its worth $100 +/-$50. If it is solid 14k gold, then perhaps $300-400. If 18k, $500 (although it doesn't appear to be). just my guess. for more insight from experts, go to pocket watch forum at NAWCC: http://nawcc-mb.infopop.cc/groupee/forums

ahchard
I have asked for more pics... esp of the back because the seller says that System Glashutte is printed on the back... on the dial is Tachville...

Watchwatcher
As I pointed out before, you need to run this by the forum over at NAWCC... a little engraving on the cover does not make it a glashutte or "system glashutte" whatever that means. I cannot i.d. a glashutte movement... although there are many recased movements floating around and likewise plenty of franken-pocketwatches. However I will say that the finish on the back of that movement does not suggest a high end movement like a glashutte. Looks very fishy.
