IWC Mark XVI Coming Soon?

I agree. In fact, I hope that an accurate/correct version can be done. It might be hard though, since the MK XVI is utterly simple!

It should be VERY simple. The case and bracelet on the current Mark XV rep are actually the correct size and lug width for the Mark XVI. All they would need to do is rep the dial and hands. I think the gen even uses the standard ETA black datewheel.

Of course, they royally farked up the XV, so why should they get the XVI right?

From looking at the XVI at my dealer the other day, I noticed that it is bigger than my XV that I was wearing. Not by much, but very very noticeable difference.

If the past is anything to go by, the simpler a watch is to replicate, the more likely it is that the rep manufacturers will get it wrong.

It took years for MK XV and it still ain't even right! And I won't even get into those 39mm diameter IWC chrono dials...

I almost bought a genuine one recently out of frustration. I will wait for a rep.

I would definately buy one as well.... was actually just looking at the watch smith the other day and thinking of buying the real thing!
