  1. Would love to wear my Slevin again, but unfortunately the movement is jammed. Preferably somewhere central near Utrecht, A'foort or A'dam
  2. On mothersday my wife seduced me in getting here a watch she loves from one of her favorite magazines. Who knows which model this is and who can source me a decent one?
  3. i'm also dutch and might be able to find one in my drawers... Do you need Ti or SS as I guess I included all my SS links when Trading it a couple of years ago...
  4. My wife was just browsing for a watch for the little one who will become 8y soon. Would life to get me a couple like these... Btw; do you also make the pilot/co-pilot engraving on the back?
  5. I'm still wearing the Gen Mk XVI with great joy...
  6. Alfetta GTV! Nice! Check my car in earlier posts and learn why I spend more time enjoying my spider last years
  7. have been offline way too long... guess it's because I can't stop taking the spider for another spin (or repairs ) anybody any clue where and when I shot this pic?
  8. Have been wearing the Slevin that I received through a trade last summer quite frequently, but now the pin which connects the bracelet with the case has been broken :-( who can source me a fresh new pin? BTW; Merry X-mass to you all and look forward to a smashing 2011!
  9. Thanks! GMT hand is now set at GMT-timezone where I live in EU, so GMT+1...
  10. All of a suddden I became ofwner of PAM228 after a trade with Saber0606... Who can tell me how to adjust the GMT hand individually from the regular hour-hand? Mine keeps track with 24h zone of the same timezone, but have no clue how to adjust the individual GMT hand... Thanx!
  11. All of a suddden I became ofwner of PAM228 myself as well... on the pic's you mention you've set the GMT hand on a different timezone...? Could you explain how to do this? Mine keeps track with 24h zone of the same timezone, but have no clue how to adjust the individual GMT hand... Thanx!
  12. The SFSO will be along on tour as well, but decided to stop hunting for a 2nd one as time is running up... Wow.... must be stunning near the water! Had a sub along in the past as well and loved the 007 bond style but had the same issue as with all bracelet watches. they can't be resized easily along the poolside... Found the kevlar spare strap with Ti clasp laying around somewhere in my desk and just mounted it on the AMG Ingy (double AR, Lello dw and exceptional waterproof). Took it for a swim today in the local pool and it behaves excellent. only drawback is the white stitching which remains wet for long time and thus has a dark colour)
  13. This might be an excellent idea! Especially with the rubber strap.... Guess I'll start hunting for one of those myself as well... How's yours? Tested waterproof? no issues with the He-valve?
  14. In that case I prefer the Ti Ingy AMG as Titanium does not heatup in direct sunlight. Perhaps I even have a strap for this watch somewhere (kevlar if I'm not mistaken) And with regards to the Casio.... Guess that's a bit to much for my small wrists But thanks for the excellent pics and story!
  15. Hi FXRandy... Great to see you're still around! Allready own a Breitling SFSO and guess the wife will wear it again around the pool. Actually looking for 'something different' Prefer a non-chrono version as the chrono's tend to be less water-resistant This was the previous watchbox. The IWC Portu Chrono was sold to FxrAndy and also the IWC st. Exupery is not in the box any longer...
  16. I have been offline for quite some time as my new hobby (driving an Alfa Romeo Spider 3.0V6) was consuming both all of my spare time, but more importantly, also the entire monthly 'fun-budget'. Good news was that I allready had a watch-winder carrying 6 excellent watches, including my gen IWC XVI and super modded rep IWC Ingy SS, Ingy AMG Ti, GST SS white-face, Breitling SFSO and even a Chopard MM GTXL Chrono... But last year my wife confiscated the SFSO as it is a perfect poolside watch being reliably waterproof and has an excellent gen rubber strap. Fortunately the Ingy AMG Ti which I also took along is also great as Ti tends to stay cool, even in direct sunlight. But unfortunately the bracelet does not size as my wrists tend to grow in the heat... So I'm considering a swap of one of those watches in the winder (perhaps the GST, the Ingy SS or the MM Chrono) for another poolside special. But who can advice me what to look for nowaday's? Spec's are: - does not heatup in direct sunlight - strap can be sized to accomodate swollen wrists in the heat - reliably waterproof - good AR - good looker at the poolside without being huge open for all suggestions!
  17. Anybody ever heard of a GST Chrono with JLC/IWC Quartz+Automatic movement? check this out! www.chrono24.com
  18. As I found myself not the Chrono type of guye, I've got a portuguese chrono up for trades so if you're interested we can do a swap?
  19. yesterday you posted in my IWC thread 'OT: do you mean to sell the porto ?'

indeed... the Portu is open for trade offers... interested? perhaps you have a nice AP to trade? prefer the non-chrono ones actually....

  20. Now the watchbox has an empty space again (sold the st. Exupery chrono),it's time for a new addition. Who can help me out make up my mind. already in the box: - Gen Pilot mk XVI (great dress watch in the office) - super modded Ingy SS - super modded Ingy AMG Ti - excellent maiden rep: GST SS White dial - last IWC up for trades: IWC Portu chrono silver dial - Breitling SFSO (excellent pool-side watch) Am looking for a nice watch for weekends in the summer-time, preferably sufficiently water-resistant to dive into the pool without fear of ruining the watch.... Found the Ingy's are excellent, but both Ti and SS bracelets have the disadvantage they are not that flexible around the wrist if it get's hot outside. So would prefer a leather/rubber strap. Am tempted to go for a Top Gun v2 with Ceramic case. How does this watch wear in summertime? Does the black Ceramic case gets hot or not? and any experience with water resistance of these ceramic cases with a chrono lay-out? Also the new bigger Ingy's with Ceramic bezel look great. How do they behave in summertime? any other suggestions?
  21. now that we know how to change the strap, I'm also keen to learn where you've ordered the custom strap and how you knew which size to go for...
  22. Have both an SS and Ti ingy. Both watches have after market double-AR and are fit with a lello Datewheel. Whatever the quality of the rep factory's AR, it's not comparable to aftermarket which makes a real difference...
  23. there's also more white available, both in mid-size (33mm) and man-size (39mm) http://www.eurotimez88.com/product_info.ph...61caab351fcf6f5 tempted....
  24. I think Ti is even better as it does not get as warm as SS. Issue with a bracelet is actually in hot conditions the wrist gets bigger and a bracelet is not that flexible ;-) The gen breitling strap on my SFSO is actually quitte comfortable!
