Physher007
In my search for a true beater watch, I decided to buy a sub. I put out a request for a sub in any condition. I ended up buying this one for $50.00 shipped. Here's what i was told was done to it. Well that's the best I can figure - seeing as RBJ wont tell me what he did to it and the owner doesn't seem to know. 1. King's sub 2. RBJ did some cosmetic modding: reworked CG's but not to genuine specs, greased up the O-rings in the crown/tube and under the caseback 3. Pressure tested it; realign crystal; did some cleaning; tighten up bezel 4. re-align rep insert The seller told me he paid around $600.00 for this sub. Is it worth it? You tell me. Also, it should be noted that when I bought this watch it would not auto-wind. Or, so it was described. When I opened the package the watch was running fine, but it was clear that the movement wasn't secured in the case. I took the watch to my smith and he told me that one of the clamps was missing, allowing one half of the movement to swing free. The previous owner assured me that he never opened the watch. What does this mean?? Anyway. Here are the pics:
