Trader Joe's has a $20 bottle sold under their label that tastes like $60 anejo tequila. Such a deal! Look it up if you live in CA. I agree with Omni: cheap booze isn't worth drinking. lumpy Posted January 31, 2008 Report Share Posted January 31, 2008 (edited) gentlemen...ladies as you may gather from my avatar. tequlia is something i have an affinity for. i just returned from Antigua Guatemala...where among other things i visited a friend who opened a little cantina/tequila bar in that beautiful town. He is busying himself importing ....what is by far the best mezcal i have ever tasted. i went through 3 bottles in 4 days the anejo is truly amazing,sadly, we so depleted his megar stores all i could manage to bring home was a few bottles of reposado...still great though. a lot of tequlia and mezcal has passed through my liver over the years..... here is the best. this is the real deal. with my dsn 036 and a little friend from the past to keep it company. r11co Posted January 31, 2008 Report Share Posted January 31, 2008 i really hate tequila...it's the only alcoholic drink that makes me vomit just by smelling it... ...I can drink practicly anything...but tequila no way... Tequila is the only alcoholic drink that tastes exactly the same coming back up as it did going down!! Absolutely not my taste. Give me a decent brandy any day.
