Panerai Power Reserve

Hi

My friend got back from a holiday in Malaysia and showed me a Panerai Power Reserve watch he bought while on holiday. He says he bought it from an AD who were selling it on behalf as a 2nd hand watch. The problem is... I am not sure if it is gen...

Ok, the date mag is pretty good, crown guard lever feels nice and firm... however the watch does not have AR or superlume...

The main thing which concerns me is that the watch has a display case back... I am no panerai expert but I thought only the manual wind models had the display back???

I do not have photos but can try to take some if it is needed...

i am sure that if it has a display caseback that's a rep..do you mind telling us how much did he pay for it?

thanks for the input. he said to me he paid about 10,000 ringgit or thereabouts... cant remember exactly... which equates to about us3000.
