DIYS: double-sided spring bar tool

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

since I like to swap bracelets/straps on my watches from time to time, I

sometimes find it rather difficult using a simple spring bar tool.

Especially on my SMP Chrono. So I was looking for some kind of

double-sided tool, but these are just too expensive.

That's why I came up with a simple idea: why not taking a pair of

tweezers and modify them?

So I used a grinder and a triangular file to give it the right shape.

This is the final shape

Doesn't quite look like a professional tool, though. But it works and the price was

reasonable. Well, at least until my girlfriend starts to miss the pair of tweezers :whistling:

Thanks for reading.

Cheers
