177H Second Hand Scratching Dial?

Hello All,

Just recieved my first PAM rep today (177H) and I am loving it already! However, I noticed that the second hand appears to be rubbing against dial, leaving a half-moon shaped scratch. It is pretty noticeable at certain angles and in direct sunlight, the AR probably makes it even easier to spot. I can attempt to post pics later, as my batteries need charging.

Is this a common problem, or did i just get a bad rep?

if your second hand scratche syour dial I advice you to take it to some watchsmith near your place and ask him to gently move your second hand up. I quess this will be 5usd quick fix.

And no, Ive never heard of this problem before. Probably the machine that put hands on your watch fit it to deep Thats all

It is a shame i know but it is not one i would risk send ing it back to the dealer for. I would let him know of course and mabey he will sort you new dial, a a bit of discount on you next order.

Thanks for the responses. It does appear that the second hand was installed too deep. Unfortunately, the dial has already been scratched so having a watchsmith move the hand will not fix this problem. I will contact the dealer and see if he will send a replacement dial. How much should a simple dial swap cost?

Should not cost a lot and is easy to do your self with a few basic tools if you are feeling adventurous. sould be a couple of threads some were here about it.
