fitipaldi Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Hi guys! I need your help, please!!! I received a Breitling Steelfish Superocean with Swiss ETA 2824 from Andrew and the date changes at 8:00. The watchsmith said me that the mouvement was defective. I don't have any idea of open a watch. How I can solve this issue?? Thanks
sssurfer Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Maybe it is the watchsmith that is defective? Most likely the movement is ok, but who assembled the watch just placed the hour hand wrong. In order to fix it should be enough to remove the hands with the hour hand pointing at 8 o'clock, and placing them back with the hour hand pointing at 12 o'clock. A 5 minutes work to any watchsmith provided with a brain (not even a great brain).
NaviChief Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 sssurfer is so right....stay away from that watchmaker. The hands need to be reset.
RWG Technical Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Probably a "Shopping mall watchmaker" who knows nothing about movements except where the battery goes... Find another watchmaker. RG
fitipaldi Posted June 1, 2007 Author Report Posted June 1, 2007 Ok, thank you!!! I will find another watchsmith.
