abakan Posted April 18, 2006 Report Share Posted April 18, 2006 Hi guys, just wander what you use to press the retaining ring around the crystal (particularly on MBW vintages). I tried to use a socket wrench which pressed it well with a tiny scratch on a side, but it didn't sit flush with the case, there is still some gap left. abakan Posted May 8, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 8, 2006 I guess noone has a knowledge To take a retaining ring off, Tribal, I used a sturdy blade, just go around and pry little by little. It takes time but by going evenly around eventually it'll come off. I'll try to take pictures when I do it next time. Now it is on, but didn't completely go back flush with the case.
