cskent69
Ok - so yes - this is a stupid question - since no one else has asked it, it means it must be obvious. How does one change the buckle on a strap (not PAM ones - that is obvious). Do you just "force" the buckle open to get the pin out of the strap? I am a bracelet wearer - not a strap guy and I am delving into the world of straps. I just don't want to ruin one (permanently bend) one if i do not have to. I do not see another way to do this..... Thanks
gargoil
Its usually just a spring bar, the same as would attach the strap to the watch. Just compress it with a small screwdriver and the buckle should pop of the same way you would remove a strap/bracelet from the watch. Pugwash
Ok - so yes - this is a stupid question - since no one else has asked it, it means it must be obvious. It is. If the buckle is sewn in, you have to hacksaw it out. If it's screw- or spring-fitted, you just use a screwdriver or springbar tool.
cskent69
Hacksaw it is!
Pugwash
Hacksaw it is! It's not reuseable afterwards, by the way.
Everythingape
Too late Pugwash! I imagine him in the shed now, in tongue-out concentration, hacking away on that poor buckle..
cskent69
No no..... Clenched teeth. Squinting eyes, with dremel and Nail cutting disk... Yeah - that ought to do it. Nice!
