Help with installing chrono hands!

Hi all,

As the topic states I need some tips on re-installing the chrono hands on my Tag. I was switching out the dials on my Tag from black to white face. Disassembly was no problem as I have most the tools to do this. But after more than a few hours of frustrating work I have yet to get one of those little BASTARD hands on!!!

I have done some searching and I haven't really found any answers. Most are like your typical manuals.....take hands off ...remove dial...reinstall hands....just that easy!!! Well its not!

I would appreciate any help! From anyone who can share in my frustration and have found an answer.

Hi Rod,

I have done it using a 4X head visor, and YES it is hard to do, normally I grab the hand from the tip with fine point tweezers..

I use a piece of removable clear tape (like Scotch brand) to hold the hand gently by the tip. I line it up over the pinion, and set it in place carefully, by pressing straight down with a hand setting tool, or the back of a pair of tweezers.
