DW 6263 Endlinks removing

Hi All,

I have a DW 6263 and I wonder if there is any easy way to remove/put the end-links. I have tried for a bit without success and I am afraid to scratch the case.

Could you help me?

i found a really easy fix -- send it to ziggy

seriously, those 6263 end links are tough. i pretty much decided i didn't have the tools to do it properly.

Excuse my ignorance, but are the end links hollow and does the case have a lug hole in the side? If not, can you post clear pics of the top & bottom side of the links where they fit onto the case?

umm....there ARE lugholes on the 6263 case -- or at least there should be (genuine 6263 here)

There is a hole in the side of the lug

If you do not have a springbar tool (you should get one), you may be able to use an unfolded paper clip. Just be careful not to scratch the adjacent surfaces.

What is the problem? Am I missing something? Push a pin through the case lughole and there you go.

now that i remember, my springbars were jammed in there funny (at an angle). and i recently got new end links where the holes don't match the lugholes just right, so i couldn't manage to get them on properly....

which reminds me -- i need to follow up w/ the contact i had about new end links...,
