Pugwash Posted June 19, 2007 Author Report Posted June 19, 2007 Having said that, I still don't understand why they are using a crappy fake Rolex (which still has to be sourced by the prop-guy) when you can bet your arm that at least three or four from the crew on set are wearing gen subs. All you do is ask "Hey Joe, can I borrow your sub for a sec?" You've never worked in film then. "Hey, that's non-union prop work! Ok men, down tools."
RolexBoy Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 you guys are tooo funny. they don't know that this is a fake and this looks just the same as the other four that are worn by actors and people working on the set. it's because Alfonso the audio guy has a cousin whose brother in law is a jeweler. he got a package deal on wholesale and ordered 5 Subs for a total of 10K. that's half the price they would have paid any place else. Alfonso still gets watches of any kind to the actors who are interested in saving a buck or two.

Category 5 Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 At least they could have tried one of the umpteen dealers with decent reps. That sucker is atright from Canal street $20 special.
