gran
I guess it is the way it "rolls off the tongue." What exactly did you mean....kruzer00? Back to the language part..even the French speaking put "SWISS MADE" , "AUTOMATIC" etc on their watches dosent sound very French to me Watches - Switzerland is the watch-making capital of the world, and "Swiss Made" on a watch face has long been a mark of quality. While the French-speaking regions of Switzerland are usually associated with Swiss watchmakers (like Rolex, Omega, and Patek Philippe), some fine watches are made in the Swiss-German-speaking region, such as IWC in Schaffhausen. (Fine watches are also made in the nearby German Glashütte region.)
Chronus
We have Breitling using French on their watches, and the word Tachymetre with the accent on the first e Some German words can be far too long though.
