chris5264
Is there any particularly good time to set for removing and replacing the hands? I have been doing 6 for removal so the hour and min hard are in opposition to each other. I usually replace the hands with the time set at 3. Do you have specific times for this? Also, I remember reading in one of your post that you work with the Russian movement (Molnija) in the hand setting position. Is this because the sliding pinion falls out if you remove the stem in the winding position and turn the movement over? I was just curious because I seem to have way more problems with the keyless works in the Russian movement than in the 6497. As always, thanks for your help. It is great to have an expert to help with these issues.
