anton Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 I've got a Bell & Ross BR01-94 rep. Orange markers (no lume), quartz, but at least it's PVD. Case and rubber strap is very well made. But what is this Blue film on my crystal? I assume it's supposed to mimic AR (doesn't prevent any reflections). Anyone else see it on any other reps? If so, how the heck do I get it out? Many thanks in advance.
giorgio Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 I had this on my first gen 45mm planet ocean withe the incorrect 20mm lugs. I had to take the watch apart and wipe it all off the crystal. It looked like what a watch would look like if you could blow a puff of smoke in it then seal it up.
flavor flav Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 its just a cheap film to mimic AR coating. easy to remove with solvents and elbow grease. then send it to chieftang or others for a genuine AR coating.
