JWR
Has anyone had any experience using an epoxy to fix two (largish) stainless pieces together? I remember the thread about the Arktos bezel legends... those are relatively small pieces, though. I'm say, trying to replace a stripped crown guard screw... with epoxy... Has anyone any experiences with metalset or similar products?
ubiquitous
Crown guard screw as in... A Panerai? My advice would be to try finding a replacement screw instead...
JWR
Crown guard screw as in... A Panerai? My advice would be to try finding a replacement screw instead... unfortunately the threads in the case have deformed and no screw will fit... ubiquitous
So, in your case, are you looking to use the epoxy to reform the threads in the case for your screw? I believe this has been done with some success before...
JJFlash
Loctite makes a product just for this purpose. "Form-A-Thread" "Stripped thread repair" I have used it with very good success, but never on a watch.
