Is this a generally held fact? And how much wear can on expect, for instance, how long before the gold in the all gold model begins to flake off? Les I think the majority of folks here will tell you to go with all stainless on the reps cause the gold plating is not all that great.... However.... I think one of our dealers is selling TT models with solid gold midlinks on the bracelet that should last for..... Well as long as you own the watch... Solid gold links in a watch without a performance warranty on the movement is not cost effective. A good rep movement that fades is a parts watch.
