700club Posted March 23, 2006 Author Report Posted March 23, 2006 Here's mine. Aren't we luckyyy? yes, very nice! does your sub have hollow or solid mid links? thanks
Watchmeister Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 Is the 16610 case the same size as the vintage subs? Maybe a dumb question but I have never owned a contemporary sub.
Jetsons Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 Believe so, kruzer. I've worn both gens and the cases appear identical, at least in dimensions. Largest physical difference obviously being the use of sapphire versus acrylic. From what I have read and discussions with George, the MBWs use a modifiied 16610 case for their vintages to accomodate the different crystal. The SD is a bit larger case resulting from the use of the HE valve. Great watches gents. Regards, Jet
leitztozeiss Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 yes, very nice! does your sub have hollow or solid mid links? thanks 700club: Mine has solid mid-links. I do have a spare bracelet with hollow mid-links, but have decided to keep the solid mid-link brackelet due to heft and solid feel. I think the hollow mid-link bracelets feel cheap.
