s.dupere
Hi, Im getting a 5th gen po 42.5mm from paul, black bezel. There is a couple of things I cant stand with the rep i.e. PEARL. so I want to get one of the gen bezels from Ofrei: http://www.ofrei.com/page663.html But which one is mine??? I will get the hands too, not expensive: http://www.ofrei.com/page1122.html And last: a rubber strap I could get the seamaster strap from Josh for 35$ OR the gen one at ofrei for 169$ I know If I get the one from josh I'll have to modify it to get a perfect fit, but the $ difference is huge. Is the rubber strap from josh accurate? http://www.perfectclones88.com/omru10002-r...ack-p-2302.html
hyster
I admire you wanting to mod your watch but dont you feel the dial is a bit of a giveaway to someone who knows the watch?

Is the rubber strap from josh accurate? http://www.perfectclones88.com/omru10002-r...ack-p-2302.html The Seamaster strap Joshua sells is accurate as a Seamaster strap, it is not, however, accurate to what should be on a Planet Ocean. If you have a look on Ofrei, the differences are pretty noticeable. Even the crappiest watch can look nice when put on a nice strap, so my advice would be to spend the extra $$$s and get the genuine Planet Ocean strap (20mm) If you're modifying the watch so it appears genuine, someone would notice the incorrect strap way before they notice a pearl or the hands... Best of luck with the project
s.dupere
I admire you wanting to mod your watch but dont you feel the dial is a bit of a giveaway to someone who knows the watch? what about the dial? You are talking about the logo? It seems to be placed correctly on paul 5th gen, am I wrong? If I decide I replace the dial, I will try to get a used PO 4th gen, any color. Fully upgraded 4th gen with gen dial, bezel, hands and rubber strap would cost about 850$, which is like a RG hublot, and you get a Perfect rep, for 1/3 of the price. But most of all, its fun to do. hyster
I haven't looked at the 5th gen for a long time but from memory, the 4th gen logo was a little low and the wrong shape, the 5 gen logo was a shade high and still the wrong shape (feet curl up instead of flat) Its possible I have missed a version of this watch and could be wrong so it would be wise to have a search yourself. Good luck with your project.

Good luck with your project. Dial and hands make a huge difference due to lume. Dial is 150 and hands around 50. A gen crystal should also fit and it comes with correct AR for another 150. -bosk
