Which technologies to use to create a web store?

I wonder what technologies to use to create a web store like our dealers here? did they create and host the stores themself or are they being created/hosted elsewhere by an isp?

I am trying to create my own web store and don't know where to begin so any info is much appricated.

They are using 'OS Commerce' to create their web stores.

Also look into Zen Cart and CubeCart.
